Most African founders apply to 3 funding opportunities. There are 60 open right now.
We find the funding you qualify for, draft the applications, score the deck they will read it with, and put you in the room where the investors actually are.
The money exists. The connection doesn't.
There is more capital committed to African startups than at any point in the continent's history. Grants, accelerators, blended finance, diaspora funds, corporate venture arms, development banks. Billions, announced every year.
And yet the founder in Kumasi building something genuinely good has no idea which of those funds is open to a Ghanaian company at pre-seed in agritech — because that information is scattered across four hundred websites, six newsletters, three WhatsApp groups, and a PDF someone posted on LinkedIn in March.
So they apply to the three they have heard of. They write the application in a night, from a deck built for a demo day and never rewritten for a fund. They do not hear back, and nobody tells them why.
Meanwhile the fund manager on the other side is complaining they cannot find quality pipeline.
Both things are true at once. That is not a capital problem. It is an infrastructure problem — and it is the one we built this company to fix.

The best funding platform in Africa — and we didn't say it first.
A concierge does not hand you a directory and wish you luck. They know what you need, they know who has it, and they make the introduction.
That is the whole company. We do not sell you a database and call it a product. We find the opportunities you actually qualify for, write the applications with you, review the documents the way the funder will review them, get your startup a page that ranks when someone searches your name, and tell you which room to be in next month.
We are the only platform that takes an African founder all the way from "I don't know what's out there" to "I'm in the room with the person who funds it." Everyone else does one piece. Doing one piece is why the system does not work.
Launch to an Audience, Not Crickets.
Investors fund traction, not just ideas. We help you solve the second hardest problem in building a startup: getting your product in front of people who actually want to use it.
We solve the two hardest problems in African tech: Capital and Distribution.
Tap Into a Built-In Audience.
Thousands of founders, investors, and corporate innovators browse our map every month. We position your product where the right early adopters can find it, test it, and give you the traction metrics investors want to see.
Everything a startup needs to get funded, in one place.
Funding — find it, then win it
We match you to the grants, accelerators and funds open to your country, sector and stage — then draft every answer on the application form from your own deck and your own numbers.
Pitch deck analysis
Applications rarely fail on the business. They fail on the deck. A partner spends under four minutes on it, looking for five specific things in a specific order. We score yours against the criteria funders actually use and show you, slide by slide, where it loses them — then help you fix it.
Listing profile
A permanent, editable page on the map investors, journalists and corporate partners already search. A real backlink to your site. A spot on this homepage. Be findable when somebody Googles your name.
Events — be in the room
Every fund you apply to has partners who will be somewhere this quarter — on a panel, judging a demo day, at a summit two countries over. We track which, and we tell you which room to be in.
Explainer videos
Short, sharp videos about what you are building — for your site, your raise, your socials. Anywhere your deck cannot go, and anywhere you cannot be in person.
Distribution — launch to an audience
We don't just list your startup—we put it in front of the thousands of visitors who use our platform every week. Get discovered by beta testers and partners who are actively looking for the next big thing.
All six, one plan
The pillars are not separate products. Your deck analysis feeds your applications. Your applications decide which events matter. Your listing and pilot program are what investors find when they look you up afterwards. It only works joined together — so we never sell it apart.
From landing here to getting funded.
Everything on the map is free to browse — all 60 opportunities, every event, every investor. Look around first. We would rather you did.
Tell us what you need — in three taps
One question: are you here to list your startup, apply for funding, or work on your pitch deck? No forms, no typing. If you came from one of our pages, we have already ticked the right box.
We read your business
Paste your website or upload your deck and we work out your sector, country and stage ourselves. You confirm it in a tap. If your startup is already on our map, we will find it — you will not type a thing.
See your real matches — before you pay anything
Not a sample. The actual funds open to you right now, with real deadlines, ranked by fit. If you uploaded a deck, you will see how it scores.
Pick a plan, from $4.99
Three plans. The smallest gets you one drafted application, three funding matches and one deck analysis. The largest runs your whole raise for two months. One-time payment — never a subscription.
We get to work
Your applications get drafted. Your deck gets scored. Your page goes live. Your event matches start arriving.
Built for how funding actually works in Africa.
The information is scattered — we centralise it
Four hundred funder websites, newsletters and WhatsApp groups, in one searchable map with verified deadlines and real eligibility criteria.
The applications are long — we draft them
Ten open-ended questions per fund, each wanting something specific. We pre-answer every one from your deck and your numbers, so you edit instead of staring at a blank page.
Nobody tells you why you were rejected — we tell you first
We score your deck against the criteria funders actually use, before you send it, while you can still do something about it.
The relationships happen offline — we get you in the room
Warm beats cold everywhere, but especially here. We track which events the investors from your applications attend.
Paying for software from Africa is genuinely hard — we fixed that too
International card required, currency conversion, a subscription that is difficult to cancel from Lagos or Nairobi. We take local payment methods, we price one-time, and we start at $4.99 so you can find out whether we are any good before committing real money.
Investors cannot find you — we make you findable
A permanent, indexed page on a domain that ranks, with a real link back to your own site.
The best company does not win.
The best-presented company does.
Fifteen years on both sides of the table.
We have spent fifteen years mapping how money actually moves into African startups.
Early in our careers we were the ones writing the applications — the long nights, the reformatted decks, the silence afterwards. Later we were on the other side: inside investor circles, on the committees, reading the submissions. We have reviewed thousands of applications from founders across the continent.
That vantage point taught us something uncomfortable. The best company does not win. The best-presented company does. We watched genuinely excellent businesses lose to weaker ones that simply knew what the form wanted, what the deck needed to say by slide three, and who to talk to before the deadline.
We also watched the other failure. Fund managers with money to deploy and no reliable way to find companies. Founders and investors in the same city, the same sector, the same week, never meeting. And underneath all of it, an infrastructure problem nobody outside the continent was going to solve: that it is still needlessly hard for an African founder simply to pay for the tools that would help them.
So we built the thing we needed twice — once as founders, once as reviewers. Startup Map Africa is the concierge for the African startup ecosystem.
Founders who found what they needed.
“I would be more than happy to pay for this. You are helping me in ways no one else has offered.”
“I was really surprised that a platform like this exists. Something tailor-made for us.”
“Startup Map Africa gave us exposure that is very much key — being registered, easily matchable, and profiled.”
